Hikkikomori Quest
Welcome to your miserable life. You are a hikkikomori, a shut-in with no desire to contact the outside world, and your life is in a rut. However, something has moved you to stop living like this. Yes, something of great importance, so important that it is a matter of LIFE or DEATH.

Re: Hikkikomori Quest
It seems a bit hard to level up at first. Does anyone have any hints. So far I have taken 3 trips to the 9-11 and always meet 2 opponents that beat me so hard before I win that I have to go back home and sleep to regain my health. Am I missing something here?
This is a fun setting so I dont want to give up, but I also don't want to use two evenings just getting to level 2, and still having to return after every second enemy.

Don't be so impatient. It takes about five fights to level up and it gets easier to win more than one fight in a row after a while. But yes, you have to do a lot of running to the 9-11 and back home to rest in the beginning of the game.

Re: Hikkikomori Quest
I found out. I levelled up to level 3 last night after writing in here. I also found out that the reason so many people were writing all over that the game was easy was because there was a glitch in version 1.0 where you could buy sodas and not be deducted for them, and then sell them on Amazon right next to where you bought them, making it possible to have 99 colas (healthpotions) and 50000 credits if you were patient enough, which would earn you enough money for the Pokeball thingy, which is a pretty powerful item. When I read more on the posts all around I saw some annoyance that this glitch was gone in the new version, and that people thought the game was extremely hard in the beginning now.
What kind of level did you reach?

I reached level 17 some time ago, but wasn't able to beat the cashier sisters (which I think is the end of the game). Because of that I quit playing.

Re: Hikkikomori Quest
It seems that they are the end of the game, as most people talk of some sister being overcome and then the game ending - although some complain it ends a bit abrupt...

Re: Hikkikomori Quest
Levelgrinding in the beginning it simply too much. I haven't seen anywhere but the counterfloor and a few aisles in to the 9-11. The concept seems cool, but the level of difficulty at first simply turns me so off this game that I had to quit twice and get back to it at a later point. I have played close to 75 minutes, and I am not at level 5 yet, and still haven't seen too much besides my apartment and the 9-11. I have however visited my apartment more than 6 times during the last half an hour. That is simply too much.

And it doesn't get better when you go on...
There is certainly not that much gameplay in this RPG and there isn't even a great variety in enemies or "dungeons" (they all look more or less the same). But I like the story of the game and I felt quite entertained when I played "Hikkikomori Quest". Maybe not a must-have, but in my eyes a solid RPG with a original storyline and some interesting scenes.

Like Chroelle for me the gameplay mostly consisted of moving between your apartment and the mall. It may have a good story but it can't excuse the fact that most of the game is a chore because you have to use so much time on level grinding.
