Happy Bday peeps! :)

I am finally back from hunting. (Actually I have been back for a week now). Unfortunately ill kiddos, overtime work and a broken car have been keeping me away from here :( I hope things will ease a tiny bit after next weekend (which I am going to spend ... working.)

I am glad to see things are going on in here :) And I am also glad to hear people are glad. ;)

And crazy :D

But now I need to go and pick up my wife from the town. It is the pleasures of having car working again

I didn't know one needed a car to get here???

Oh and it seems I was away longer than I thought. Kiddo is once again sick, and once again with an earinfection. Fortunately we have an appointment in the hospitals kiddy ward soon, so they can figure out what is wrong with our daughter....

I actually didn't think I was away for more than a couple of days, but it seems that last time I was in here was a week ago tomorrow... Time flies when you are having.... well time flies...lets keep it at that. Currently I am writing out wedding envelopes for the wedding invites, and at the same time putting pictures of our place up in the newspaper so we can get rid of this damned apartement... As long as we are not getting it sold we are living on edge of our financial capabilities, which means that any surprise bills will send us straight towards financial ruin or something similar... We are hoping to get some clearance within a week, where hopefully Tanjas granddad will lend us money at a better rate than we have on some payments, which would ease our living quite a bit - keeping in mind that we are trying to save up for a wedding as well.
Damned financial crisis. Only good thing is that my stock was invested in more or less the only bank in Denmark that didn't suffer greatly these last weeks...

MY TURN - Except it is the left one, and they took it out with pliers, and they almost needed to be two persons to get it out. My cranium and jaw is still acking like hell, but luckily this was the hardest of 2 visits to the dentist that is planned.
I am off work tuesday and friday this week to spend time with Anna, and Thursday is the day where we have an appointment with the childrens ward in the hospital - they are going to do a bunch of painfull tests on her, and try to figure out what is wrong with her immunedefense since she cant seem to fight off these infections. She has so far had 4 lunge-infections and 5 ear infections (in both ears), and she is not 2 yet. The good thing is that no matter what there is only a 1:1.000.000 chance of her having the same dicease her cousin has. He is the only kid in Denmark with that particular immune defense weakness, and even though it is heraditary it needs so many other factors to fit perfectly before you get that specific decease. So slim to none risk there.
However the doctors say that they are pretty sure that is where they have to find the problem, and one doctor mention cystic fibrosis and immediately told us that they had to rule that out, but given Annas good mood when she is both well and ill, she thought there was no risk of it being that.
It will be nice to get some clear answers soon!

Tanja is also home sick currently so at least there isn't the huge problem with staying home to take care of Anna. In April there are new rules for my profession where we get two straight days home with our kid if it is ill. Today we only get one, and then you either have to find someone to take care of your kid or send the kid to kindergarten just to let them call you up at work asking you to get the kid because it has a high fever or something. So I am looking forward to that.

At work I had good news though. My boss counted up my hours spend overtime and it seems, that when I have passed my vacation from 19th of December to 5th of January then I will still have 30 hours on sheer overtime, and also have 2-3 weeks of vacation until May - where the new year begin. So how cool is that. Unfortunately I always end up with the same issue... Lots of overtime, and too many assignments, so I cant find time to stay home because it simply means neglecting workassignments, that I take more pride in than anyone! So I can't leave them to anyone else... Dangnabbit...

My surgeon didnt need the pliers and he couldnt use them anyway - my tooth was eaten to the gum level. :D So he had to use the hook instead. Probably a different experience - instead of pulling you feel like someone is shoving his fist in your jaw and after a while you hear crunchy noises. This is the worst part and you pray for analgesic to work properly. :(

I bought the photo camera finally, with option of making hd-resolution movies. Just in case it will become a standard in following years - now I'm prepared. :D

Sounds good. You must have dug deep into your pockets - it seems like an expensive purchase... Was it?

Update on Anna and desease.
We got home after only 2½ hours spent in the hospital yesterday, and the needed the lab-worker that was going to do the tests on Anna there, so we got a second appointment soon. They tested for allergies though and she is scot-free so that is quite nice to know. That also means that we can take it more easy with allergens and reactors, so it is noce to not have to think about that. However they still have no clue what it is that is wrong with her, and I wont relax until they can rule out Cystic Fibrosis. If you have Cystic Fibrosis your life expectancy is currently max 50. In the older days, this was something that killed off kids rather quickly because they get trouble breathing so it would be very nice to strike it off the list.

Update on tooth...
Still AWWWWWW! Still on painmeds at least 3 times a day.

I'm hanging ok, but who are you, Sian, and what winds bring you here to cwf?

As for tooth, my gum ached for about 2 days only, but I was experiencing unpleasant feeling in my gum for about 2 weeks, so dont expect miracles. Probably youll be experiencing it too and you can even feel like neighbouring tooth aches, but it's only an illusion.

Oh, and be prepared for a protruding whitish something on your gum, it's natural and remains forever...? I forgot to ask if it's forever.

Oh man, all this remembering of OG...I just had to pop in and see if I still had high-score on that space ship game (been so long, I can't even remember the name...Pulsar I think...), or to see if eMTe was still dominating Donkey Kong... :viking:

I figure I could just breeze in have a few pints in the pub...Anyways...it took me forever to think whether it was OGC.com, .org, .bfg...I eventually googled....

Lo and behold...woah woah woah...when did OGC change? Needless to say, my user id is still there...password no works...or I can't remember it...maybe I should lay off the pints...

So I tried a few things...tried a few names...poked around as guest trying to liberate or possibly start some ruckuses...did that until my brain hurt, then decided to cruise on back to the little inn by the wayside and...wait...what was I talking about?

As for all the tooth talk...I don't get teeth...I really don't, why the heck do they have to be breakable and hurt a lot? Doesn't anyone else think that teeth would have been more efficient if they were made of stone?

Good to see you again Sian...Pints on me boys, pints on me! :TGIF: :shots: :Greenride:

edit: What is up with the "Super Poop" ad? Genius! That's what...

Yes it was. :D

Regarding teeth. I am going in to get two fillings Tuesday and that should be the last of my teeth experience for this round. (I hope).

I have been a bit away these last days since I have been busy with Annas doctorappointments (she got a drain placed in her ear now to get rid of her many earinfections, and she is going in for some further tests sometime this coming week - that is where she gets the test taken for Cystic Fibrosis, so I am quite the nervewreck when it comes to that one. It will be great to be able to cross that off the list of things that could be wrong with her.

Also Tanja had her Christmasparty at work with her colleagues this friday, and she came home at half past 5 in the morning - drunk as a ...something drunk... and she was feeling rather crummy. She slept all through Saturday except for a short while where she picked up her sister at the trainstation because it would have been their mothers birthday yesterday had she not died this summer, so they were supposed to go to her gravesite and spend the day together. Tanja was feeling so bad that they ended up here instead where Tanja had a rendezvous with her supper from last night, and went to sleep on the couch, which left me with her sister for the next couple of hours... I thought I was going to have some alonetime while Anna slept so this was not part of my schedule... However me and Tanjas sister had the best talk we ever had, and after a couple of hours she went home and Anna awoke. Tanja went to bed instead of the couch and I took Anna for a ride in her tram. A real cozy day!
But all the things I thought I would be doing yesterday I never got around to - I was even supposed to cozy up on the couch when Anna had been put to sleep and watch The Fantastic 4 - Silver surfer, but ended up falling asleep after watching The Transporter (1), and having started the F4 DVD.

Thanks. Unfortunately I've been a little sick for quite a while so there's no celebrating this time. :faint:
