We need some more sport games on the site. So here's a funny little volleyball game. You can play against the computer or against a friend and if you configure your gamepad right, you can even play against yourself (even if that's pretty strange).

Here's what the developer wrote about his game:

"Welcome to the beach!!
It's summer, so what better time to play beach volley?
Come on, get ready for the tourney!
Choose one of the 20 idiots and win 8 matches around the world, in different physical conditions, for the final prize...
Every time you win the tourney you should unlock one of the 5 secret players!
You should also play with friends and strike them till death!!
NOTE: everytime you win a match you gain a "continue", up to 3 max."

Better as "Hairy Harry"? Certainly not! More fun to play? Hell yeah!!!

I don't think it is hard to handle. I used a gamepad and after a few minutes I got used to the controls and was able to serve most balls (and if I didn't it was my fault). And when you played for a while you can even foresee what thunder fireballs, ghosts etc. will do to the ball and react to it. So I don't think your success depends on luck.

Characters and backgrounds are very funny (I had to laugh a few times) and coulorful, there are nice effects and there are even bonus characters you can unlock by winning the game.

I like it that the game doesn't take itself too serious. It's a fun arcade game and I think that's exactly what it should be.

BTW: Sometimes it happens that points are given for the wrong player. As it happens quite seldom I wonder if it is really a bug or if it was made on purpose. You know like in real sports when the referee makes a wrong decision and you really get mad about it...

I really liked it, and felt that the somewhat luck-based gameplay was also based on some strategic thinking - where the environment throws your curveballs. I saw it as a twist to the theme, which would easily be very dull otherwise. I did not expect much of this game, and I am glad to say that I was wrong. Expect something good if you ask me.
