So since eMTe is supposed to last a lifetime too, it shouldn't matter that I was a little late too.
Sorry but I didn't have a connection.

Thx everyone.
I do not normally celebrate birthday and try to keep it secret, but people at work got to know somehow in the last minute and have bought me this:

and managed to smuggle it while I was at work. Good boys and girls!!
And Happy Birthday Spanek!!

Maybe one should dig into the thread about long lost members and try to convince some of them to return back for a peak. That works alot of the times.

Happy Bday to all of you whose Bdays I missed :/
And then... I'll have a work trip to Ulm Germany at the beginning of next week. I was just thinking about Oktoberfest and possibilities...
Does anybody have any ideas how much it costs to travel from Ulm to Munchen & back (by train), and how long it takes? Or does anyone happen to know if there's something interesting going on at Ulm?

It will take between 1 hour 22 minutes and 1 hour 51 minutes and cost between 23,90 Euro and 33 Euro (for one way) depending on which train you use.
And I think the most intersting thing you can visit in Ulm that week is a festival for child and youth theatre (which might not be interesting at all if you don't speak german)...

Unfortunately I expect to be working a longish days in there

And since only thing I can say is
"ein, zwei, polizei", "herrer wollen damen küssen", "ein bier, bitte", "ich liebe dich", "du bist ein schaz", "ein armer Mann, der nicht wei<funnyletter>, wohin ", "hier kann man abends nichts unternehmen", "zu dein plaz oder mir plaz", "bist du schon angezogen?" and "ich hei<funnyletter>e..."
I guess it's better I'll just find a nice quiet pub with good dark beer

(Naturally after buying the compulsory gift for kids and wife).
Oh. It felt funny to write "wife" instead of GF

True, but he might be spooked since he thinks it is weird saying wife instead of GF.
Nah...I am guessing it went well too. But since I am planning my own wedding with Tanja currently I need more detail.

oh.. It seems like I forgot to tell about the weddings
All in all, the weddings went on great. We had about 60 guests (we had to limit the amount for financial and other reasons). We had enough of food and never ran out of alcohol
No one started a fight, people enjoyed themself till the end, and it was all just great. only thing that makes me sad is that the day was over sooooo quickly. But still, that day was one of the best ones in my life
Actually, it was somehow funny. I and Milla have been together since 1999, 9 years that is. So I thought that it would not really make any big emotional strike to get married with her - but it still did. I can warmly recommend getting married, it feels surprizingly good
(And I still feel good knowing we are married - and she's still trying to learn to use her new last name
)

Good to know no-one started fight. I was on weddings where fights occurred
but usually between guests and outsiders trying to mix with a crowd and consume some free alcohol.
9 years is pretty long for such decision, but on the other side it's better to know for sure that this THE woman you want to marry. When marriage occurs as a natural step, not as social obligation, it works better in later years. Here, still many relatively young people (18-22 or so if you consider that age young
), mostly poorly educated and living in rural areas get married, either because of social pressure (you have to marry, all your friends are already married, you MUST have someone) or unwanted pregnancies. But that's how it is everywhere in the world, probably.
Speaking of alcohol...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCYTHE !!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCYTHE and eMTe!
...and everyone else I missed...
Good to hear your wedding went well Maz, and the addition of no fights is always good
Like eMTe I have also been to weddings with fights, my girlfriend still tells me about the wedding she went to where the brides brothers started a huge fist fight between themselves.
Are you going to post any pics??
