Hex-a-hop
Hex-a-hop is a puzzle game based on hexagonal tiles. There is no time limit and no real-time elements.
The objective is simply to destroy all the green hexagonal tiles on each of the 100 levels by jumping on them. As you progress through the game more types of tiles are introduced which make things more difficult and interesting.
Game is built on top of SDL, which is an open-source layer for direct media access.

This game has both Linux and Mac versions too so be aware if you want to find games for either of these two OS's.

Let me repeat my words...from another thread.
One Step Beyond gone 2D - my first thought was. 100 levels of pure brainteasing fun.
This one should be in top five in GameplayOverDesign contest if there will be one some day.
No, there's no sound at all.

If you read the readme file you will see that the author thought very low of his music-making skills and as such decided to not put any sound in. Not even sound effects.

Actually a pretty neat game. A fun puzzler with lots of time-killing. 100 levels of pur puzzle. I think it is much more fun than say Icy tower when it comes to jumping games, and I must say I could easily be tricked into checking if there really was 100 levels...

Things to do during boring nightshifts...
I finally completed all 100 levels of this amazing puzzle game. There are still more than 50 levels I have to solve in par though (but there will be some more nightshifts as well).

More than six weeks passed Im afraid.
Now to the main topic. News! News!

Group of people took over the project (with or without Tom's permission) and will try to develop it further. Who knows, maybe new features or levels are planned.

It seems that they mainly want to add sounds and music to the game. There is already a new version to download. I will try it and tell you what I think.
About the six weeks: I have to admit that there are some levels that I'm not able to master. I always end up with a score above par...

I checked the new version of the game. Unfortunately the music is quite monotonous and right at the moment the game is more enjoyable without it. But some of the sound effects are really ok. I think there is still much room for improvement. But it's just a first release and I'm pretty sure the guys will come up with something better soon.
