I lost it too, during a couple of recent years. It is buried deep beneath the pile full of work, women and leisure activities. I simply dont have enough freetime to dig for freetime.

I got stumped in BJ7. First time I got SERIOUSLY stumped in the series. Good.

Oh Geez, sorry PA, I had no idea that the freetime I found shoved under a cushion in the couch was yours...I already spent it on Lost Odyessy and validation...can I write you an IOU?

That is why you need to bundle up your freetime with your socks when you travel to warmer countries. That way you end up with the exact same amount when you come home as when you left, because you always pack like 6 packs of socks and end up wearing sandals and bare feet for a week. This is how I have saved my freetime from being used on the vacation!
Now I have lots of freetime as soon as I have washed all the socks that never got used.

I am back from vacation is what I am trying to say in short.

Great vacation. Spent the time at the pool, went to Pisa and saw the tower (and the extreme amount of tourists taking pictures of them holdng it up), went to Florence and saw the dome (damn that is one big dome), and went to Empoli and watched Empoli vs Ancona in the third round of Copa Italia (Empoli won 2-0 and missed a penalty shot). Otherwise had fun with the fiancee and daughter, and my mother, her husband, my sster, her boyfriend, and their son (my nephew).
Lots of food, lots of goood food, and lots of good pasta and pizza.

I didn't neglect my running while I was there, but I found an amazing route of 5,2 kilometers. It was 2,6 more or less straight down to the next village, down very steep hills with lots of turns - and amazing trip down. It was unfortunately (some might think) also the same 2,6 kilometers uphill... I had to stop once which then made me decide that that would be my only break, and thus I ran the entire route after that, even though I was more or less just doing the running movements, but practically standing still on the last hill.

We spoke to lots of different people from all over. Mostly two German couples from Lübeck and Bayern. Nice people, but my moms husband is quite the history freak, which let to the classic "Fawlty Towers" quote..."Don't mention the war" ver and over again from the rest of us. He didn't get it!

While I was being sad because we had to pack and go home my dad texted me and told me he had two tickets to the VIP booth in Parken (the national soccer arena) for Denmark vs. Spain tomorrow, and asked if I wanted to come.

DO I EVER! So that is where I am gonna be tomorrow ngiht.

All in all a good week, and it is alwasy nice to return to 77 new posts on CWF to spend some time with.

EDIT: BJ4U has also at some point been the subject line in some spammails I got recently.

I really cant take that abbreviation seriously.

Well... Tanja is getting broadband through her work, and we are getting the equipment monday. They contacted our current ISP and Phone-line provider, and told us that they would coordinate so that the line would be cut and opened a new right after eachother
....
hmmm
....

So this Tuesday they cut our phonelines and now we are both off-line and off-phone until monday.
[sarcastic]Good coordination skills! [/sarcastic]

The best part is that when Tanja called them to fix it yesterday, they told her that it was them who had made a mistake and there would be a guy out to fix it next tuesday (after we have switched companies...) and if we want it done ourselves then we need to pay for it out of our own pocket - one repairman= 214 Euro pr. hour.
So I am planning on calling them and telling them that I have made a mistake and my bills wont get paid, but if they want the money they have to pay themselves for - one payman = 215 Euro pr. hour.

I can't wait to hear their response.

Thanks everyone. Finally I could visit the web from my work (still offline and off-phone at home).

I had something close to the worlds best birthday (and a 30-year one nonetheless), but this was due to circumstances earlier on.
Sunday we had to go to the doctor with Anna again because she has an earinfection and we were worried wether it would spread to her lungs like the last time. He sent us off to the childrens hospital once more, and after Anna getting a bunch of painful tests for hours once more, they told us that she was going to get IV-penecilin for 4 days once more - which meant hospitalisation once more. I was pretty sad because, apart from Anna being sick - which breaks my heart - this would mean that Tanja and Anna would stay in the hospital and I would wake up on my birthday with them no there, and not seeing them until late in the afternoon after work. But at 11PM the doctors came and told us that they had seen some good results on the tests, and they would connect us directly to the hospital as a so called "lung-child" because the infection seemed to have hit the exact same spot once more, which means she will be observed by the doctor there - that also meant that she does not need IV-medicine for now, and the doctor sent us home with some heavy-duty broadspectered penicilin, which meant that Anna came home with us. So waking up and having my girls around me made it an extremely hard day to destroy! Had the family over for dinner (all 16 of us) and really had a good day with LOTS of great gifts. Got a lot fo books, movies, and even got a mirror-reflex-camera (is it called that?) and money for a GPS-pulse-watch and tickets for a great standup show, and a nice dinner at an amazing restaurant in town. Lots of good stuff.
Oh and from now on there is no more waiting in line at the doctors office for an hour and a half with Anna having a 40 degree fever! She now goes straight to the specailist if there ever is something with her lungs. Now that is a good present!
Oh and we also got the laptop that Tanja is getting through her work, and the broadband arrived last night, so I hope to be able to hook up this afternoon, and that means that with 2 computers there is no need to sit and wait around when Tanja is using the PC to plan the wedding.

It seems I am still not online and on-phone back home. They were supposed to fix it wednesday, and when Tanja called to hear why they hadn't the phoneguy on the other end told her that the visit had been cancelled last tuesday (or something) aka - the B*tch that Tanja had to argue with to speak to a superior decided to have her own little childish vengeance and cancelled the visit from the repairguy so now we have to wait again. One of the worst parts is that in the meantime I could be loosing money online via customers not received so to speak, and we have lots of programs for Tanjas new PC that needs activation to work within the first 10 days. And the line is drawing close.

On a more positive note (-ish) I am going to a running-thing today called DHL-run in Copenhagen. (DHL is simply a firm that is in charge of it.)
A 5 kilometer run times 5. As soon as the olympics over and I cant remember the name of the discipline where you run and pass on a "depeche?" We run in turns 5 kilometers around the biggest park in town.
I am looking forward to it. We have two teams from my workplace, and I have been having so much trouble with Anna, my own health and lastly my legs where I strained something but they all cleared up today. MY health is ok to run, Anna is having her first day in kindergarten in 1½ weeks and my legs are feeling close to fine today.
I also contacted the company that makes my workplaces website - I think I told you how that sucked big time - and have made an agreement with them that I will give them serious feedback on the parts concerning my specific field of work (the SFO - freetime part of the school) and that will have an affect on all the websites from now, so my feedback will go national, and thus affect all SFO's. I am SOOOOOO THE MAN!
Tanja and I have been talking more seriously about moving further away, which would mean I would have to quit my job and find a new one. I am not pleased about this, but 2 of my closest colleagues are quitting soon, so I am finding it easier now than before I knew they were leaving. And all of a sudden it dawned on me, that I will have a good chance of negotiating my own pay if we move, and also at deciding my own workareas. So I am feeling better about it all the time.
I started thinking about my resume and it looks pretty impressive at the moment. Not where I ahve been but what I have accomplished.

And the best part is that I know that I am good at what I do. You are not supposed to say that in Denmark, but currently I am bulletproof so I dont give a rats...
I hope that everyone elses confidence is close to mine, and that everyone is doing good. I will of course let you in on everything that happens with everything I just said...I mean...try and stop me

It's interesting to see that employees of phone companies in Denmark seem to be the same dick-headed dorks like they are in Germany. Might be a kind of genetic disease that makes these people choose their job...

Belated Happy Birthday Chroelle. Glad to see that you're going okay.

On a side note. If your daughter is having the same infections over and over I strongly recommend hat you take her to an allergolgist (doctor specialized in allergies).

I had a recurring infection on the ears when I was a kid and I only got rid of it after seeing that doctor, my brother th same thing for beathing problems. Besides the "conventional" doctors got me so much penicilin that I developed and allergy to it and derivates (like cephalosporins) that will stay with me to the rest of my life.

BTW we ought to think of creating a thread about creating/dealing with son and small children.

So that's my 2 cents, hope everyone is all right.

Thanks for the advice SG. Actually the lungspecialist has talked about doing some allergytests on Anna, since both her mother and I are multiallergics - food, animals, pollen, astma etc...
So I believe she will send us to one.

On another note I completed my first goal to victory over my year-long fight agains my broken leg. I ran the DHL-run friday with my workbuddies, and we did good. I had some issues with my legs all the week up to this day, and they eased up nicely in time to not bother me too much. Unfortunately my astma kicked in when we ran the dirtroads, as the dust lifted and filled the air becuase of the many runners. This run has due to a new participant record this year become the worlds biggest run, so there are lots of feet kicking up dust. That unfortunately sent my time into the slower part of my team, but I still did as good as I hoped, since I wanted to run between 27-30 minutes, and I finished in 28:42. The slowes time for my team was 35:something. The fastest time was 20:21!
So there is definently a gap in running speeds.

I also wanted to say Congrats to SFault for graduating and to Maz, who if I remember correctly, got married this saturday.
