well I hope you are right SG.
Well if I'm nor, then you canbeat me and say it's all my fault :coolbounce:  :viking:  8)
the longest journey is good, I have this annoying little tune stuck in my head from one of the items I have been carrying around since the begining of the game
Happens sometimes with multiple games who have a good soundtrack
the only other games I can think of where that happened were the two broken swords.
Never played them actually, and the only adventure games I think I ended without using a walkthrough was Full Throttle and Loom

I have compleated all but two adventure games without walkthroughs...I don't like usinging them unless I have been stuck for a very long time. The ones I did use a walkthrough on were the first moneky island (when you had to make the potion on the ship) and legend of kyrandia (when you had to mix different things together to make three potions)

I think my mind doesn't work well when it comes to making potions :p

Ive finished a couple of games without walkthroughs - Day of the Tentacle, Larry 5, Kyrandia 2 and some others. If I'm stuck I never use walkthroughs - it spoils all the fun from solving riddles - I still remember when I checked walkthrough for Indy IV, cause I didnt know how to get to the pyramid. What's worst first cheating encourages you to do it again - you spoiled the fun already so why not? From that Indy accident I dont use walkthroughs even if I'm stuck for years (like in GK, since December'2002 I cant move forward, but I'll NEVER EVER cheat).

On the other side, I cant finish some games even with cheating, f.e. Flashback. My palms are not top fit I suppose, cause Ive finished the game without cheating as a teenager. I feel old... :(

/me mixes Zubrowka with apple juice for Dizi

Check it - this potion works VERY WELL.

I'm so used to read the walkthroughs from the old magazines and newspapers that I use them each time I get stuck for a long time (about 3/4 weeks), however I can complete most types of games without using them.

thats where I got the walkthroughs for monkey island and kyrandia. Some one had wrote in saying that they were stuck on the same bit that I was so the published how to get past those bits.

I will admit to cheating on RPG's as I love playing them for the story but hate doing contless numbers of random battles to get stats up. So I cheat on them when I get to a boss I cannot kill. I know it defeats the point of playing but I really hate having to play for hours just running in circles to get a level up.

and guess what I have just gotten up to a bit in the longest journey where I have to mix potions

monkey island 3 was a great game as were the first and second ones too. I wasn't a big fan of the fourth one although I have played it through about 4 times that pales in comparrison to how many times I have played the first two :P

I love Grim Fandango, although I am not so keen on the control system for it...I find that having to walk around to detract from the game a little, But I did enjoy playing it even with the hatred I have for that control system. So it must be a great game :D

ohh please let me have a drink eMTe. I have just sent a PM to both Sabrina and Mirkomick about the stuff at BD and how it leaked into this forum. I felt something needed to be said as it is getting a little annoying it come onto this forum as well, esp when they don't even visit here.

Could you please elaborate? I don't think anything has leaked in here. If you read through the posts in the bar, there is no specific targets to talk of spam...
At least I don't recall there being...

ohh all I mean is that this little thing with OTT posting at BD and making some topics turn into off topic bars has leaked into here. So I thought as it is not just affecting people on the BD forum but als onto this forum that maybe someone should inform them both that their post-fest is starting to annoy other members a little bit and if they would mind trying to put a little more thought it to posting as some members feel that BD is turning into just another place full of spam...I'm not bothred about people chatting about it as I have been as well, but I feel its a little silly to chat about it on a differentr forum as it almost feels like we are doing it behind their backs. So I wanted to be open and honest with them about how I see the situation, instead of simply dancing around the subject. I find the best action to take sometimes is the direct aproche...I just hope this is one of these situations
