It's not the amazing be all and end all of GTAs. Many people are complaining that a lot of the features that could (rightly or not) be regarded as "fun" from San Andreas are missing from IV. It's a little more stripped and focusing on some specific things. Also, some people complain that the driving is very different from earlier iterations - it takes some hours to learn the new system, where you actually have to use the brakes to make a turn.

However, it has perhaps the most likable protagonist of any GTA game, and in fact pretty much all the characters in the game are likable, fun and well done. I think I'm 30 hours of gameplay into it, and still not done with the main missions (maybe a little more than halfway, I guess). It's easy to get sidetracked with taking your friends out bowling or drinking or whatever, fx. Also, I'm spending a lot of time clearing the police most wanted list by stealing police cars and accessing their database to chase down those rival criminals.

It's fun.

That sounds like an amazing feature...

Can you tell me something about the main story that wont ruin it for me?

I can tell you that the main character is a war veteran from one of the Eastern European wars who comes to Liberty City to join his cousin who lives in a mansion, throws around big $$ and swims in women... at least according to him. Turns out he runs a taxi company, lives in a one room apartment and his would be girlfriend is sleeping around with somebody he owes money to (that would be the Russian mob). Time to make things right! Steal a lot of cars, kill a lot of people, meet an interesting cast and make friends with them.

That's just the start of the game. Anyway, the main character is a very entertaining and likable fellow for somebody who mainly makes his living killing people. :)

I would love to, but I dont have that kind of money currently for that kind of thing.
:(

Actually I can wait I think. The PC version is always better if you ask a lot of different reviewers online. So I am putting my money on this and awaiting October. But damned this summer is going to be long.

Oh and on a nother note, I might have gotten a new customer for the webdesign thing, so I might be using some time on that.

Oh and also I wanted to point you guys to my Blog which I have decided to start using some more now. Here is a link:

http://connect-webdesign.dk/wordpress/

I call it Project Hype because of the first topic I made. I am going to follow the newest hype that comes up with arguments as to why I joined and what me not do anything more about it.

I am off course also going to hype about Freeware games and CWF, so this will hopefully generate some advertising of CWF even though it might just be a smidgeon of traffic and attention.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. And Pater, have fun in Egypt!

I really like the cake, but now the question is, to eat it or not to eat it?

Hi deeeeeeeeeeee Ho peeps!

As you might have noticed, I have neglected my duties in here lately. Sorry bout that, but the ice hockey got better of me ;) And after the world championships ended, my work schedule went crazy... And it still is. Not to mention the fact that I spend my evenings at yard with kids :)

Well, I have not forgot you though, and I will be around sooner or later again ;)

But in any case, Enjoy the Summer!

Oh, and as a sidenote, it seems that CWF has climped one step up on PR ladder :)

Hiya Mazzie.
Good to see you again. Do enjoy the evenings with the kiddos!

I have been slaving at home with lots of stuff to do now that Anna is starting kindergarten, then I am not home untill she has to sleep, and that means that all the housechores like doing laundry and dishes has to be done there. I try to find time to play but it has been hard. I will get more time as soon as Anna is more at home in the kindergarten so I am planning on playing alot there, and maybe even find time to add a game or two. (Heard that before??)

I hope that we can keep changes happening all during the summer, but I know it is a bit hard since people go on vacations and tend to go out more instead of sitting in front of their computer...

I made some fresh cold limonade and put it here on the counter for anyone that stops by after being out in the sun. :)

Sun? What sun? We had sun yesterday, it was hot and humid, today it's cold and windy!

Anyway, I am so happy I could burst! I had a battered up iBook 12" (500 MHz CPU model) whose screen was still good. Well, I also had a 800 MHz Gateway Solo 2500 that took a 12" screen, which was fried. The iBook screen works fine in the Gateway! That isn't all- the 60 GB hard drive was missing a pin. It was pin 2, which I figured was a ground, so I tried it, and I got XP running flawlessly on it! There are other ground pins (Aside from the casing) that it can run through. Man am I thrilled!

Anyway, I'm always up for lemonade, so I think I'll join you!

Good. I just read the weather forecast and they are promising up to 30 degrees celsius this weekend. Me and Tanja are going to an outdoorsy event with sleepover this weekend so this is perfect news.

More limonade, and maybe even a glass of white wine for the sunny weekends. :)

Hi everyone!

I'm back from Egypt. Just 26 posts in here during my absence. Hmm, seems everybody else was on holiday as well (but it also means I don't have to read very much)...

Egypt had been great. We had a coral reef right on the beach behind the hotel and I saw tons of beautiful and colorful fish. We also made trips to Cairo and Luxor and I saw the Pyramids, the Sphinx, Tempel of Karnak, Valley of the Kings and all the ancient stuff that is simply incredible when you see it for real. Maybe I will post some photos in here.

Think I will have the time to add some of the games during the next few days, but for now I will drink a cold beer! Will anyone join me?

Crom condones beer. I'll join you. :morebeer:

Sounds like a good time was had in Stygia! I've been wanting to go, but not at this time of year. And I hear bad things about beggars and such. Is it true that you're pestered all the time? Then there's Thoth Amon. I wouldn't want to run into him.

Yeah, I've gone off the deep end while you were gone...
