As you propably know by now, CWF is a place which aims to spread the word about quality freeware around the known world. If you know/have created a game which you believe should be on CWF, you can create a suggestion thread in Freeware Forum
Please include at least following information:
1. Game name
2. Creator name (and email if such is available) email will be published, so if you do not want the email to be public, but wish to be contacted after the game is validated, you can PM your email to Chroelle, Pater Alf, or me.
3. License information. We do only host games we can legally host. And only games that are free of charge. (No shareware). If the game us published under GPL, then you can simply write the lisence as GPL. We know what that means
4. Current download location. If you do not have your game anywhere online, then you can email about it to me. ([email protected]). I can try to arrange some way to get it validated and hosted if it passes the validation.
5. Genre and short description about the game. (Description can be long too, it's up to you).
6. 1-3 screenshots are greatly appreciated! (those can be attached to our forums, or hotlinked with bbcode, if hosting site accepts hotlinking)
Remember that it is good if you write this suggestion with some thinking since even if the game would not end up being hosted, the topic will stay on the forums announcing the existence of the game
How does the game end up on our site?
It requires following steps:
1. submission. Game is suggested in freeware forum.
2. Our GameHunters squad downloads the game, plays it, performs virus and adware scans and rate it.
3. If it gets good enough average rating, then it will be accepted, uploaded to our servers, information fields will be filled, and it will end up being downloadable.
If game is not accepted, then we will keep the topic about it in our forums, open for comments etc. (And usually game hunters do write some comments about the game after playing it).
Finally, it is greatly appreciated if you add us in your site at the links section. You can find a few possible banners from Link To Us page. If you're a developer, then we cannot promise putting up your banner on mainpage, because we do have games from (propably more than) hundred developers. However, (even though I may sound repetitive), link to your site will stay in suggestion post, and if game is accepted, it will also be on the download site. After all, we wish to give all the honor about the game to the creator(s)!
