After I played "Legion Saga I" and "Legion Saga II" I wanted too see how the story continues:
"Ridman’s united nation of the Twin Empires has fallen to an unstoppable attack by Kobold invaders and they now have their sights set on Higanasu, who do not have the strength to withhold the attack. After enlisting the help of various factions, it takes a disgraced warrior to restore the country to its former glory, repel the invaders and assist their allies. Difficulties arise, though, when another faction within the country rise up and causes a civil war at the same time as the country is under siege.
Features:
* The War system returns in a revamped form - control individual units, each with their own commander
* Duels return with improved graphics
* 23 recruitable Legionnaires, with old faces as well as new
* A card minigame"
So far the game looks good. Cant't understand why the Kobolds are evil invaders all of a sudden (in "Legion Saga II" one of your closest friends was a kobold), but I hope there will be a reason for it later on in the game...

I loved this too. But not because it was the last in a series. I really enjoyed this one. Yes, the dialogues where strange at places, and yes the repititive battles were annoying - especially the highwaymen battles!!!
The beginning had me confused and the many plotstrings didn't really work. The storylines about his father, the secrets of allies, the romancestory - it all seemed to blur in and not really matter in the bigger quest.
I found a huge bug in the end, which you read as a spoiler below.
SPOILER:
I was asked if Lisa should join the battle in the heavens, and I said that it was too dangerous for her to go, and when I went to remove her from my party, she couldn't be removed with the message - It is too dangerous for Lisa to go - and she was greyed out, so I thought that it might be a plottwist, where she shows up in the heavens in spite of my request for her to stay, but she didn't. She joined every single battle, and in the end sequence she showed up on earth and teleported to the sky with the "soulelevator"... So it was hard to figure out where she was. I am currently trying to find a savegame close to the end to see what happens if I ask her to go with me.
/SPOILER
But the game overall was entertaining and I spent close to 30 hours with it - not going the straight route. And that really counts for something in my book that I can spend so much time with a game.
Play the series as one sotry and you will get much more out of it, than playing the games seperately.
