The Jeluvian Project

Post by eMTe »

Addictive game with clear graphics, atmospheric music, great tutorial and even background story. Worth a try.

There is some really good gameplay thoughts here, and the execution is fine. The interface is a little small-ish, but still it works. The background story is uncomprehensive at first, but then gets better (and a little classic).
The pathfinding is rubbish, but you are informed of this and it actually helps give the feel that you are really in control as you cant just send your troops across a map without your almost constant guidance. I like it, but it got a little boring after a few missions - but the implementation of an easy mode only chooseable after trying it in normal mode and failing was a great idea. More games with that idea please

Really?!
Easily do-able I suppose, and it'd give my "Level 6" more of a purpose. Hmm.. Actually, sounds like a decent idea. I might try that!

I always find it hard to figure out if I should play a game in easy, normal or hard mode, and most of the times I end up choosing the normal setting and sometimes if that bothers me even slightly then I go with easy (I didn't say I was proud of it). So the chance to not be able to choose easy before having tried it in at least a normal mode is really a good thing in my book.
