A great remake of the old C64 game "Aztec Challenge". You play an aztec warrior and have to make it through an old temple. Of course this temple is full of dangers and life-threatening traps...
Trevor (Smila) Storey is a guy who surely knows how to do remakes of classic games. He improves graphics, sounds and music, but leaves the soul of a game untouched. So you can be sure that you´ll always like his remakes when you liked the original games.

Remakes with updated graphics are always good, and I spent a lot of time with the original. It's a very punishing arcade game, but for those of us who like our skills tested, and don't mind yelling out loud at the screen, this title offers good old fashioned value. Just don't come crying when you've thrown your keyboard through the window in frustration.

I've always been a big fan of the original "Aztec Challenge", so there's no doubt I like the concept of the game. And as Trevor "Smila" Storey did everything right once again (this guy sure knows how to make remakes), there is nothing to complain about.
The graphics, the music, the levels, the difficulty (which is fair): Everything breathes the spirit of the original game. Only minor flaw is that there is no full screen mode.

Real test of patience this game. And it is very annoying that the music starts over every time. Gets on your nerves. However this game is a classic, very hard, and beautiful looking. The start over bit almost ruined the game for me. I am sure I wont play this again any time soon. I might however in the far future and that is what counts.
