Is there a way to skip the intro??? It is very long and after it ended my game exited with an error... It would be nice to know if it does that every time or this was just a fluke...

Having only completed very little of it, I can already sense that you can spend lots of hours on this game, and be willing to as well...
There is in fact no doubt that this is maybe THE best freeware platformer out there. I hope to get thorugh this one day, but while desire is high, alas time is low...

This was actually THE game that made me decide to spend $99 on MMF1.5.
That being said, it's way too hard. The enemies damage you for too much, your life bar is too low, and worst of all your attack range is pitiful.
It looks great, and sounds better, and the engine is solid, but there are a lot of issues with Eternal Daughter I found once I got over the inital "WOW" factor this game has.
Hmm, regarding the difficulty level "Eternal Daughter" was always the freeware jump' n run game I considered as fair. Of course some of the monsters are hard to beat, but all of them have weak points and if you finally find the right tactic you'll be able to kill them.
And best of all: The controls work very smooth (at least when you use the keyboard). So you are able to time your jumps and attacks right and to the point.
I think "Hasslevania" for example is much harder in a certain way. Not because of a short life bar, but because of just a few save points which doesn't heal you completely and because of the need of hearts to do high jumps.
I always played ED with a gamepad but thought that the controls were tight. I'm sure I'll go back and play it again sometime, if only to get that first dagger subweapon (which rules) from that big plant thing.
