Sauerbraten

Post by dahood »

Sauerbraten (a.k.a. Cube 2) is a free multiplayer/singleplayer first person shooter, built as a major redesign of Cube.

Much like the original Cube, the aim of this game is not necessarily to produce the most features & eyecandy possible, but rather to allow map/geometry editing to be done dynamically in-game, to create fun gameplay and an elegant engine.

---

Do we have this already? If not, have a look what I have found.
This game, i think, if I have correctly read this, is built on the Cube 2 engine. It does not have really a beginning and end. There are a few mods which you can choose to have fun :) .

While shooting you will pushed back and if you press "E" while playing, Editor comes and you can change items, doors, walls etc. direct.

So, have a nice look.

You can find all the games we already have on the site in this thread:

Game looks quite cool (at least the screenshots you can find on the homepage). I just ask myself why they chose such a stupid name for a FPS game?

Btw: Game is available for Windows, Linux and Mac and there is as well singleplayer as multiplayer mode.

On the homepage they say that they'll use the same engine to make a RPG. I think that sounds really interesting. I'm curious to hear more about that...

Sorry, i've forgotten it to say that it's available for Windows, Linux and Mac and that you can find screenshots on their hompeg, but Pater Alf did it already :)

The RPG is also introduced --> "In development"

Thread was opened in the wrong forum, so I moved it to the freeware forum...
