You also get thrown off if you try and change between the two domain names. Like being logged in on forum.connect-webd.... and then changng some of the URL to the Curly one. This gets you kicked/logged off.

It propably is due to the redirects we have in login system. And because the redirect is only from www.curlysworldoffreeware.com to http://curlysworldoffreeware.com . For example www.curlysworldoffreeware.com/site_main.php will not be found.

I assume there could perhaps be some really easy rewrite rule which could be placed in .htaccess file, but I'm not sure. (Never done these). I believe the best course of action would be to ask if DL could give you some simple answer how to do the redirect thingee so that www.curlysworldoffreeware.com would always be 'replaced' with http://curlysworldoffreeware.com (or how to really associate the new domain name with the existing folder.

Oh, I see you did the redirects. (or how?) I wonder how you did that. If you could tell me what did you do, then I could perhaps tell why it 'fails'.

I did the redirects first through the control panel at surftown. I did a redirect URL for the two new domains to forum.connect-webde....
Afterwards I found out that the redirects only redirected some, and not all urls... So I made it an alias (also through control panel).
This means that Curlysworldoffreeware.com is now an alias for curlysworldoffreeware.com, though Curliesworldoffreeware.com is still just a redirect to curlysworldoffreeware.com
Any ideas as to what can be done?

The download counter for big files (above 100 MB) doesn't work correct. I think that is because the downloads take too long and so the counter doesn't count them as completed downloads, but as broken ones...

No possibility to stretch the time before it is counted as a broken download? Or to deactivate it at all, so all downloads (even the broken - don't think there are so many) are counted?

Well here is an error that has been annoying me for a while. Everytime Freecol is shown in the "spotlight" then the left side gets wider.

So when we can edit stuff, then we might as well break up the link so it can fit...?

Yep, it's the same with "Garfield" and "Glace".

If we'd only have a working edit tool... ;)

There's no possibility to add games to database that are published in 2008. I know we still have 2007, but I thought I better tell you early (I know that you don't have much time). Or will there be an option as soon as the year starts?

Sorry peeps..... ...... .....
I messed the most of the developer's email addresses :( I replaced @ with a too long word, and many email addresses were then longer than would have fitted in their places in database. Thus we now have MANY email addresses which are truncated :(

I assume I can get some of them fixed by using the testarea database, but many (most of the?) games were added after I stopped updating the testarea..

So basically we should go through the developers and try to find and re-add the emails... :( Sorry.

If someone has time to go through the database and update email address fields in the tables, then I assume Chroelle may be willing to grant the access to the server untill it is done.. (But I cannot say anything for sure, since C is the one paying the costs. And frankly to say, if I was the one paying the bills, I would think twice before granting the access to anyone :/

Anyways, this is a public confession - I messed up the database, and now I am asking you to fix it... O_o Well, I knew an accident would happend some day, but I never thought I could do it with this simple task.. :(

To be honest, I don't want to mess around with the database (and also I don't know how to do it). But if you tell me which mail adresses are missing, I can see which of them I have and search for the rest.

Well I can propably do it myself if someone is willing to help get the emailadresses. I did a filedownload of the entire forum not too long ago - is that helpful in any way?

An accidents do happen... (Look who is talking) :D

Wait up with doing too much. I just remembered that I have sent emails to all developers with a public emailadress these last couple of days, so I should have all of them in my sent folder. And to show you exactly how lucky that was... I nametagged them all with the gamename so when I got replies I didn't have to go and figure out which game the mail was about... :D
So consider this problem solved. :D

Btw, is there a program which can search through entire site and forum and find wanted files, lines and such. You click "start" and in a minute you have all hyperlinks containing "@" displayed on screen.

I watched to many movies. :)

On linux you could propably do that with a program called wget and a short(ish) shell script ;)

And no C, filebackup does not help, emails are stored in database :(
