Bruce Lee

Post by eMTe »

Who didnt play it, those were the times... I played it on C128, but MobyGames doesnt mention this version, strange... Or maybe it was Amstrad? :p

This is a very faithful remake, in fact nothing was changed except that game runs smoothly on modern systems. Absolutely recommended!

You have to remember this classic game. And once you remember it, there is no turning back... You just have to play it too..
So go download this amazing game from the past. Its free and it is nostalgia at its best.

I still have to grin a bit though, that the original author actually thought... " Hmm...I have this karate game...what should I call it.... Claws of fury, Dragonmaster...Kickflip king...No wait... I will call it.....Bruce Lee..."

Claws of Fury? Sounds not a bit better than Bruce Lee. :)

Anyway, this is one of the few 8bit platformers that is still playable for me.

How can you not fall in love with a game so irreverent that it has a sickly yellow, blocky thing represent Bruce Lee himself? A platformer where you collect paper lamps and beat down ninja and a green sumo called, uhm, "Yamo"? Pure nostalgia.

Ive seen BL for the first time in my primary school someday in second half of 80ies, together with - iirc - Jungle Hunter and Krakout. Memories... I still remember boys who were sitting by the comp! Amazing.

So, eMTe, did playing Bruce Lee make you young again, or is there a more sinister reason for you being 12 years old? :D

Ok, not really, since playing [insert something different than Bruce Lee] made you younger. ;) Took me a while to notice. So now you're a pig. (Well, maybe you were before as well)

Oh, and Bruce Lee still rocks the world!

A pig?

Does it have sth to do with Chinese calendar or should I consider severe action against possible insult?

It's a terrible insult! It's an attempt to start a flame war!

Ok, ok, it's those pesky Chinese who embraced you in the Year of the Pig.
