Heroes of War

I remember playing it last year, but it was shareware then. Now it is freeware. Graphics and interface a bit outdated, but still worth a try.

Link doesnt point to proper site, besides game is in various places listed as shareware. Needs investigation. 8)

They seem to feel it is freeware. I will trust download.com on this and go for it. :D

I call this a poor man's Heroes of Might & Magic, and that's not exactly bad company to be in, is it? Sure, it's ugly as sin, but turn based freeware battle games are few and far between. I only wish there was an option to gauge the strength of your enemies before entering battle.

I have to go with "everything Scythe just said". Truelly this game should not be judged by first appearance. Plays well, even though I sucked. I was dead within 15 days. Or at least crippled more than the Monty Python Black knight.
