Which member got you in here?

Post by Chroelle »

Well, I know of course that several of you were lured by my charm (read: persisting annoying stalking fashion of entrapping people) to get in here, but was anyone else responsible for your joining here?

Who got you in here, and how?

I can actually start of by saying how I ended up in here.... Even though I made the place with Monte....

Actually the members of DDH (The Danish corner on OG) was getting a little afraid what the low speeds and admin-abandonement meant for Og, and decided to do something about it, so their community didn't fall to pieces. Me and Monte signed up to make a new forum, and as we were building it, we got the idea to make it bigger....

So actually the Danish members of OG got me in here :D

Let me know who got you in here...

Our polish Mod - eMTe.
He posted a modest topic about this place on OG. Since I knew something was not good with OG, I followed the link. Then - it took me a few seconds to register. End of story =)

I woke up one day (8th March 2006 if I remember correctly) and voice in my head said: "Yes! Today's gonna be a big day for you, former abandonware maniac and now freeware lover! New forum has just opened its gates and believe me - that's something for you!"

Then unknown magical power leaded me to my comp. I turned it on, opened the browser and still leaded by the magical force I wrote "http://curlysworldoffreeware.com/index.php" and made my first post. Later that day I saw Chrolle's topic in OG Town Hall - that couldnt have been an accident...

So, I'm here and I like to be here so far. 8)

I wasn't invited, but saw Chroelle's thread in the Town Hall on OG, and followed the link.

Found a nice new, fresh forum with names scattered around that were very familiar, and an empty politics section that was just begging for a couple of threads, so here I am :).

Only reason you weren't invited was because you were too darn quick getting in here.

(Either that or I thought that if I told you then Baldie would propably follow... )

Chroelle got me here.

At first I saw the thread in OG but didn't have time to explore. Then later, got the PM and had to check it out :P ... so I ended up here.

Chroelle, you got me in her. OG is having trouble, and your kind invitation convinced me, along with the best of OG already being here. That was the clincher. This is like the cream off the top being here. What more could I ask for?

This post is turning out to be a big "Chroelle got me in here" thread, but that wasn't my intention. Actually I wanted to see where people heard of the forum, and what we should rely on to get more members.
But I don't mind the topic or posts though
Lets see who gets the most members in here besides me.... Ready for some competition people. eMTe is having quite a lead too.
