Solid exploration/platform game with colourful graphics and atmospheric music, but very hard. And very fun nonetheless. Author loves Castlevania, that's quite obvious, so if you love it too this game is for you. :P

I'm a bit tired of starting from the beginning again and again (especially because there seems to be no possibility to skip the whole intro sequence).
Is there any way to save the game or are there any savepoints further on in the game? Because if there isn't I will quit playing immediatly...

You find first savepoint before you encounter any enemies. From the start just walk right to the room at very end, it's there. 8)

Thank you. I found this room before (wasn't too hard without enemies ;)) but didn't recognize it as a savepoint. Sometimes I really should read the instructions. At least I can skip the intro now...

Hello, freeware Castlevania. Quite hard, but with all the things you love from Castlevania - wall running, double jump, etc. A very good platformer, but best played with a gamepad.

Apart from many advantages Soldexus features one of the best keyboard response seen in freeware platformers. Handling is "soft" as in...let me think of good example...Superfrog. Adds much to overall value.

I finally got around to hooking up an X360 controller to the PC - why didn't I think of that before? So of course I went back to one of the finger breaking games to try it out with a gamepad. Excellence!

While there's a pretty tedious period of fighting the same enmies over and over to make cash for very necessary upgrades, once you're past that, the game really opens up. I think I've barely even scratched the surface though. Will spend my afternoon with this for sure.
