This is THE POST to follow if you want to help this site out. So far there are no real prizes to win, other than maybe a special rank with contestwinner march 2006.

This week we have a contest for logo-design. We need a logo that points to the downloadspage. So if you think you can make something that looks good, then apply in here, so we know that someone is up for it. Then we will make a poll in the end of the week with all the results.

If you need more time for the design than a week then please let us know, then we will prolong the contest.

what would this logo need to have on it? would it just say downloads page? what size would it be? is it just going to be a button or a banner?

Ohh and do I ask too many questions?

1. Up to you as FT said.
2. Size we can get back to, but maybe if you make it so that it can be altered. A flexible banner.
3. Actually it should function as both a banner and a button. So if you could do something that had both functionalities...

The size of the banners on this site is:

The top banner is 600*110.
The four small banners (under links) at the bottom of the portal is 88*31

Then again I don't know if I will have time to do this, RL work and some other little bits that I have agreed to help with. I'll just have to wait and see. So maybe I have entered maybe I haven't, you'll just have to wait and see

I'll work on my logo in the weekend, or maybe tomorrow, where I have multimedia (here at the school).. But where is the logo supposed to be placed?

The top banner is 600*110.

I don't know if that answers your question?
But if you can do layouts for all the placements possible, then it would be great, since we can then choose where we think the design fits.

Please enter people. Chillum submitted something yesterday but removed it very fast (I have the feeling he wasn't quite content with it).

We need logo-designs. I could do a crappy one, but why bother if someone in here can do a great one

Let's get this ball rolling.

Sounds great. As I thought earlier: It might not just be the one chosen that is used. We might use the other logos too at another point...

I dont know what happened.. I couldnt find the attach opportunity, and that was just soo irritating.. So I tried to host it on Imageshack but something happened, so the logo didn't show..

And when I saved my logo, it went really bad! I didn't have the time to fix it, cause I was on my way out.. :/

EDIT: Dizi was so kind to help me out with a link..

I'll make the quality better when I get home friday... I can see that I have to move the CWF part a bit down too.. or what?

A bit is ok, but I'm not sure how much it should highlight the CWF - maybe the DOWNLOAD should be more obvious...

happy to help out, can't wait to see what it looks like once you have made it better quality. My sugestion the same as chroelle's if you reduce the size of CWF by a little bit the download will standout more.
