Ah the horrible change of Avatars and loss of instant recognition has come once again to haut me

To escape this terrible sazonal event I decree that this Bar shall be made an hellish haven place until the winter contests end.

So Be Warned for the heat in here shall rise to very comfortable levels where no shadow of winter can dwell

Ok, I went to the movies yesterday and out to dinner afterwards with the GF.
We saw "The Departed" and this is the only time you will hear me praise a movie with Leonardo Di Caprio! On the other hand it had Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg (in his best character ever) and Alec Baldwin (with interactions with Mark Wahlberg that was GOLD!) and Martin Sheen just to mention the biggest names. A good deal more could be mentioned but they were secondary characters...
I had to admit that Leonardo actually did a good job, but so did both Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg. Jack was his usual loving self, and Baldwin was the classic Boss with a grin type. Martin Sheen was the loving warmhearted fatherfigure. You gotta go see this picture. It is one of the best things I have seen this year.

I don't suppose you've seen "Infernal Affairs", which it's based upon? I've been wanting to see it, and yet not, because I've seen Infernal... I just can't decide...

That didn't answer my question. ;) The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced I'll be disappointed in spite of all the good things I've heard about it. Infernal Affairs without Andy Lau or Anthony Wong... I just don't know (let's face it, Matt Damon in an Andy Lau role? I kind of like Matt Damon, but I think not). And going in thinking I won't like it probably becomes self-fulfilling. So I still haven't decided. I mean, I'll see it eventually, but maybe not at the cinema.

It is not a must to see it in the cinema, so no harm. This movie is about characters and plot... Not about FX or graphics.... (All about the gameplay :D)

Ok, now do you believe me?

Go see it.

Edit:
Just came home from IKEA. Spent something like 900$ there... Got a bed, a video-table, 2 bookcases and a bed, and some small things like wine-rack and such. It seems that IKEA is currently running on my purchases alone... All in all we spent something like 6200$ during the last 3 months out there... But we are getting a killer apartement.

I just came back from a meal at a Chinese restaurant. Not often that I go out, but my boss at QA insisted we all go out for a bit to bond a little with the latest new recruit. Quite pleasant :)

Only had soft drinks while I was there though, so fill me up please :p

She's nice. Actually she's going to be sorting out all the pesky organisation and programmer-prodding that I dislike so much, leaving me to just get on with the testing. Suits me just fine :)

Nice as in nic, or nice as in ...Nice....?

I am currently furnishing our new apartement, and with a baby on the way we decided to go all in, since it will be quite a while before we can afford getting anything new for us or the apartement.
We have so far bought:
- New Kitchen - countertops and closets.
- New hardware - Dishwasher, oven, fridge and that thing that hangs over a stove.
- New bed
- New living room table
- New kitchen table / dinning table (Its a long one)
- 8 new chairs for the dinning table
- 2 new bookcases
- And lots of small stuff, like wineracks, towels, etc...

Also we rebuild the whole kitchen so all in all I spent a lot more money these last couple of months. All in all I think just under 30.000$.

Just nice nice. I think we're going to get on well.

You're certainly going all out on this whole family business. Looks like all you're missing right now is the little girl :goodjob:
