Railroad Tycoon

Check out these news. I don't know if they'll allow it to be put up anywhere else. Sorry if it doesn't become an exclusive. :p

EDIT: Just downloaded it with no problems.

LEt me know what the license says.... It would be great if we could host it no matter what... Great game. They claim that it is the deluxe version in the comments. Can you clarify that?

It's the usual fare, such as:

You agree not to:
(a) Commercially exploit the Software;
(b) Distribute, lease, license, sell, rent or otherwise transfer or assign this Software, or any copies of this Software, without the express prior written consent of LICENSOR

Which basically means we'd need permission.

According to the title screen, it's the Deluxe version, so I can verify that, yes.

Ok. Can you maybe find a mail-adress for Licensor in the license? That would be nice, but it would propably be too easy... It's just not the same if you dont have to go over two three google searches before you find a site where the licensor left a message half a year ago, and with an emailadress you are not sure he uses anymore... :D

Meh. I have the original floppy disk set for the Mac version, and they all work. To boot, the Mac version is much better than the PC version anyway.

Either way, this is pretty cool though.

The licensor is Take 2 Interactive Software.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS CONCERNING THIS LICENSE, YOU MAY CONTACT IN WRITING [TAKE-TWO INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE, INC.]
622 BROADWAY, NEW YORK, NY 10012.

According to the 2K website, their Public Relations contact is Marcelyn Ditter, marcelynDOTditterAT2kgamesDOTcom

But the game is the property of Sid Meier, I'd imagine. Possibly Firaxis Games, though I'm not too sure of that...

Well it would of course be great to be in direct mail contact with Sid Meier, but I am afraid that we need to contact TAKE2 on this. I'm gonna go for it.

EDIT: Wrote the mail
