I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really hope this comes out on PC. I would simply hate not being able to dig into another GTA adventure. I am considering getting out San Andreas or Vice city just to calm down my ticks...

I was talking to a friend of mine, he was saying you can use a boat to take down a helicopter! That has me sold...I've been trying like hell to get through Mass Effect ASAP so I can go out and get GTA

I haven't been boating much, but that sounds weird... After I got my hands on a race car, driving is much more fun. It handles well, goes fast and is nigh indestructible. Crazy stuff.

You can get through the main story in ME in ~9 hours of gameplay. It's boosted merely by all the side quests/planet exploration that you can do.

You guys can play games, at least. I've been so busy that it's unreal. Building laptops, and just got more parts in today to get them running, and got a box of 20 256 MB PC133 SDRAM sticks in for upgrading these Pentium III systems. Took a couple Asus P3V4X motherboards I had on hand up to 1 GB of RAM with a 1.0 GHz CPU! Put a SCSI hard drive in it, and that thing flew through XP setup!

Anyway, is anyone still using their gallery around here? I'm fixing to update mine now that I have a 2 GB memory card for my new Kodak 5 MP camera.

I hardly think anyone ever used it? Or did they?
I never really got around to it that is for sure.

I have decided to go another couple of days without some GTA, but I have really considered whipping out San Andreas because I never finished it completely, so I am considering starting over and going from there. I did however love Vice city even more, so this might end up on the toss of a coin...

I'll have one of those thanks. How come the pineapple appeared in the first place?

It was a trophy I won over at the german corner. We always bet on the results of the german football league and you win the "Golden Pineapple" when all your results are wrong. So in fact it's not really a trophy, but a stigma...

BTW: Is anyone in for betting on the results of the UEFA Euro 2008? Not for money, just for fun and maybe a title like "European Football Champion" or something similar...

I would be up for it, but I have no idea at the moment.

But what a great idea you had with the pineapple. It would work in the DAanish corner too if there were more people than me interested in football in there. :D

Chroelle can join the German Corner for Football. I bet, guessing the results of a league you don't follow is fun. :-D

Or do you follow the Bundesliga Chroelle?

I will be away for the next days, as some of you may already know (by reading in the GH-forum) then Anna my daughter who has been sick for a while was hospitalized yesterday, after doing tests on her for 7-8 hours (with breaks of course) they discovered that she had both pneumonia (lung inflammation) and a middle-ear infection. Both of which are pretty harsh on small kids.
I have gotten a bed out there next to her, so I am there day and night. Tanja might sleep there tonight though since I didn't get much sleep last night and she said I might get sick if I didnt get my sleep and some energy. She might be right, but I really feel bad about leaving them out there.
Anna is to be hospitalized until monday or maybe sunday evening. She gets IV-penicilin and fluids so she already feels better but she thinks the tubes and stuff are annoying.
Her fever has been running high these last few days so it is really nice to know that they now know what it is and they are helping her. So I feel good about that, but yesterday was a heartbreaking day for me, because I needed to hold my daughter down so they could do tests on her and she was crying at me, sort of blaming me that I was letting them hurt her, and that was REALLY heartbreaking you might imagine.
But she still loves her dad, and she finds more comfort and safety with me than her mom, so that is why I am the one sleeping out there. Also I do better under stress than Tanja.
But that was quite a story, and now I will go take that shower I came home to get.

On a funny note though I will say this: Really tragi-comically we sleep in the same room as a 3 year old girl and her mother - we sleep on these ironbeds which you can set up in two seconds next to our kids beds, and twice not once but twice the mothers bed collapsed during the night. While the kids where crying because the got stratled me and the mother couldn't help but laugh. A thing like that can really brighten your day/night when you are all washed up. Ironically this woman is half my weight I think, so I was a bit scared to lie down at first. :D

Well I will see you later and hope to read lots of good stuff in here monday so I have something to come home to :D

I'm sad to hear about Anna. Best wishes to her and I hope she recovers very soon (I'm optimistic about that as it seems to be a special ability of little kids).

Here's a little balloon to cheer her up! :balloon:

Wow Chroelle! I'm concerned for you and your family now. I hope everything turns out OK.

I think I have the flu today, I was pretty run down last night and I have flu symptoms. But, there's work to be done before Monday. I got a bunch of Mac G4s in, and some 800 MHz flatscreen iMacs, and I want them loaded with OS 10 before I move into my shop on Monday.

I won't have my own store just yet, there's some extra stuff that has to be done there first before anyone can move in, but I'll be using a space at the Youth Conservation Corps in downtown Waukegan to work out of on a temp basis. I'll be working regular hours starting Monday, though of course I can take the day off if I like, and won't have computer stuff at home anymore, save for what is for personal use.

But for now, I'd just like some saltine crackers to settle my stomach.

I have unexpected free day tomorrow (for those who like to spy and know that I was more active on Sundays and Mondays - now I might be more active on Fridays and Saturdays :P ), so I feel I'll check if my TrackMania rank isnt too low due to too long breaks. And I'll continue hunting for you know what and flooding freeware forum.

In rl, I expect a little salary raise since next month. ^^

As for Anna, I'm not good at cheering up and stuff, but you seem to be in positive mood anyway. I follow long tradition of not getting upset even if things go wrong, because it doesnt help the situation a bit. At least you wont get stomach ulcer before your 30-ies. :P

Thanks for the cheer-ups people and the baloon PA.
It is always nice to coem in here and read what you guys write when these situations occur (and yes Scythe they have occured quite a lot these last couple of years for me). And to answer your question Scythe: We have spent three months with one of us hospitalized since Tanja got pregnant. And two of those were within the last half year. And this is just hospitalizations and not being home sick...

But on a more cherry note: Anna is home again and glad to be it. She is still on penicilin for another week but no more IV-tubes and needles for now. :D:D:D:D:D:D

Hi Chroelle! Glad to hear that Anna is back! Hope she is totally well soon.

As for me, I started operating out of the Youth Conservation Corps today. This is a big step for me, as I am now working scheduled hours and no weekends. Eventually, I'll move into my own brick-and-mortar store, but this is great for now!

Anyway, I'm thrilled to have most of my computers out of my apartment (The rest are slated to be moved tomorrow), so everyone have a drink on me!
