I just noticed- when you hover the mouse over CWF it shows Connect-Webdesign Forum still. That needs to be changed sometime.

Merry Christmas to all! Including this no posts bug! Let's all have a round on me!

Just wondering how everyones christmas went. It has been awfully quiet in here (to be expected - I even slowed down advertisement campains because traffic is low in christmas).
Here is how my christmas went.
22nd: Went to Tanjas grandfathers to say merry christmas. Was there for a couple of hours and then went home. Very boring!
23rd: Christmas at my moms house from 5pm to 1am. All very nice and quiet. At my moms place we sing the christmas-psalms and not the more up-beat songs.
24th: We go over to my moms at 8 am to celebrate my sisters birthday. Its not her fault she was born on the 24th of December. She slept at our place. At 5pm we go to my sisters to celebrate christmas eve. For the first time ever she is hosting the party, and 18 people were invited. Including my mom and dad who had a terrible divorce when I was 11, and only started seeing eachother in February this year to my nephews christening. Very nice party, with lots of jokes and laughs. My dad usually host the 24th December party, so it was his traditions that we used, and that is singing the upbeat christmas songs, (and not christmas songs - some more like drinking songs) and running around the house. That is always fun - but check this out. My dad and my stepdad (which my father referred to as the asshole until this year) was actually holding hands while dancing around the tree, and having lots of fun. Now if that wont blow your mind if you are me - then I dont know what will. Lots of good presents, lots of smiles and laughes.
25th: We went to my moms again and eat a big christmaslunch and had beer and snaps. As always we end up watching a movie where I am the only one awake at the end. This year more were awake, but only by accident. My nephew ran around and bothered people enough so they couldn't nod off. We saw Flags of our fathers. Ok, but not amazing.
26th: We went to my uncles place to have yet another christmas lunch and spent most of the day there. Anna is at this point rather tired of not being home and sleeping in her own bed, so she is stressed out, and cant find rest. Which of course was the first sign of things to come. We went home a bit on the early side to get her home.
27th: Our only day of relaxing. Tanja goes out to return gifts, while I take care of a rather impossible Anna. In the evening Tanja starts to feel sick.
Night between 27th and 28th: Tanjas is throwing up, and my back is killing me. Noone gets much sleep.
28th: Tanja has a stomach infection and is still throwing up. I went to a physiotherapist to straighten out my back. I have to take care of Anna for the remainder of the day. We were supposed to be going to Tanjas grandmothers house today, but cancelled. Anna wont go to sleep at night and ends up not falling asleep until 11.30 pm. I went to sleep shortly after on the couch (with my clothes on and the TV on).
29th: (Today) Tanja is feeling a little better. We are going to celebrate christmas with her parents today. But not at home with them...no....in their summer house which is close to 2 hours driving away. I am not looking forward to the drive. My back is killing me, Tanja will need a bag for the drive and Anna is not too easy at the moment. (understandable). But I promised Tanja that we would go, and so we will.

I had a lovely christmas, with only the last couple of days going bad. I got great presents, Anna charmed everyone by being her lovely smiling self, and I got to see my stepdad and my dad hold hands.
How was everyone elses christmas? And is it over yet?

Yes, christmas is over...

I had a nice and peaceful one and spent a week with my parents and my sisters. Also met some old friends back from school (that's always great). So I hope everyone else had a nice christmas as well and Santa Clause had been quite busy and brought nice present to all of you... :x-mas:

Yup, I guess Christmas is over. It was decent - just a small family gathering and one lunch without any drama, then a week's time with the parents. Gifts not worth mentioning. Today there's the New Year's party of course, which should hopefully prove to be fun. Tomorrow's the hangover, and then back to work!

Is it soon already???

Well I had a nice and quiet new years eve, which was what we all needed in the family. We drove to the other end of the island and celebrated with some of our friends who have two small girls themselves and so there was no heavy drinking and no loud noises... We got to bed at 2 am and got up at 8 am. It was all very intimate and cosy. We really wasn't in the mood for something huge to happen, since Anna has been through quite the christmas and we were starting to feel guilty about dragging her around... So this was perfect.
I hope everyone had a very happy new year the way they wanted it to be celebrated.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

Work is done for this week (there should be more weeks with just two working days), I added a game to the database and I will meet with a nice girl tomorrow. Lots of reasons to be content...:)

So I think it's time for a beer!

Btw: Does anyone know what happened to Spanek? Haven't seen him around for quite a while...:(

I think we lost quite a few people this year, but I am planning on doing a haul-back campaign really soon. I already tried contacting OGRE, and Mr. Green, and I am certain that a few more will drop by if we contact them. Some might even stay.
Sounds good with the girl.... Details?

This has been a pretty weird and unpleasant week for me. First I think I'm little sick and still having some problems getting used to regular rhythm after new year. But.. I went to work but my key card didn't work. I got in and realized that my contract had expired. Later I understood the reason was because my boss had forgot to do it. I was so pissed off, that I left home (and I wasn't even working there :P )

Later the same day I was trying to find results from my compulsory Swedish exam, but they were missing. Day after I got an email, that I failed my exam. Normally I wouldn't care a damn, but this time I had studied really hard for it and failing means that I have to take extra course to get credit for it. I'm busy as hell already with my work and other studies, so I'm not at all pleased for these news. Especially since I cannot officially begin my master thesis(which I have done for 3 months now) until I have completed my Swedish. So I'm extremely annoyed and sorry for this rant.

ps. PA good luck with the gal! And happy 2008 for everyone else.

What a nasty way to start 2008 SFault!
You have my sympathy, and if you need some assistance with Swedish words, then I am next to fluent in it. :) But only basic Swedish...Not advanced or technical Swedish.

Christmas time is over, so my old avatar is finally back!

Not to many details, but we spent a very nice day together. I really like her. On the other hand I'm not too optimistic about a serious relationship with her as she is much younger then me. Which means we might have different expectation about such a relationship. But let's see what the future might bring...

Much younger as in 10 years or as in 5 years....? Either way...Good work chum!
:D
I think I know what you mean though.

On the upside: Has anyone noticed the amount of visitors we get recently??? I counted 600 visitors around 11pm yesterday and we had 400 at 1 pm today... :D

Much younger as in 12 years (which means she just started studying)...

And yes, I noticed the ammount of visitors the last few days. Did you increase advertisement or did the people finally recognize that we're the best freeware site around? ;)

Amazingly enough I didn't touch advertising for a while now. :D
I have some campaigns running that might have struck gold but otherwise I have seen that we are showing up higher and higher in searches too when you search quality freeware games. :D

EDIT: Just did a search and we came up fourth :D

It's been a bit rough here mates. The junior has some stomach problems, so we are not sleeping much... (Newborn is awake at night approx from 01 AM to 06 AM, and Joona wakes up at 8 AM...) So thats my excuse to use all my freetime sleeping instead of CWF...
