just thought I'd pop in to fix the no post exist bug...work is going to be hell this week since i was on vacation last week and my coworker is away on training this week.

But the good news...I got approved to attend Object Oriented UML training at work, which is the first step to getting a job in development.

If I get this job all drinks will be on me! If not, I'm going to break off my bar stool and go running through the streets with it...

So, got back from a marathon board gaming session this weekend (ok, beer was involved too) and pretty much slept Monday away. Then got addicted to Puzzle Quest, downloaded from the XBox Live marketplace, and I've now officially upset my daily rhythm completely. Good thing I have a week's vacation... which I'll spend playing Puzzle Quest! So there...

Still haven't managed to get my RPG Maker 2K working again; can't for the life of me figure out what went wrong. It crashes with some "Can't run Vehicle" error, which is probably badly translated Japanese for "Screw you, gaijin." No games made on RPG Maker work either.

Glad to hear that Pager :)
And nice to see Darzie visiting :)
And I had a great weekend too... I was hunting whole weekend. Two nights and almost three days outdoors, walking about 25 kilometres a day in a swamps, forests and 'mountains'. It did good for me. Naturally I have every possible muscle aching now, and my head is all dizzy due to the lack of sleep, but somehow I still feel I have been relaxing. I'll try to post some piccies about my trip tomorrow. (1 or 2, my mobile which was also the camera, ran out of batteries at the first night... Freezing weather and batteries are not compatible :p )

Walking around in the forests and swamps for two days with batteries for the camera that slowly run out of energy. I don´t know why I have to think of "Blair Witch Project" all of a sudden.

Hope everyone came back alive... :stir:

Literally laughed out loud. Tanja looked at me and asked what I was laughing about and I was just on the verge of telling her, when I realized that she wouldn't understand, and would simply end up giving me the look, that says "I love you, but you are a bit weird sometimes hon."

Ok. Came back from vacation yesterday. Had the greatest of times, just enjoying my family and having a great time in the sun. Lying by the pool all day and going in to restaurants to eat. Great feeling. I got to spend 24 hours a day for a week with my daughter, and that is simply one of lifes great pleasures. Not having to go out the door in the morning and thinking that she will miss me. Amazing!!!!:!:

Got a nice tan going and a relationsship thatis better than ever. After all the misfortunes of hospitalization and so forth me and Tanja had forgot to be grilfriend-boyfriend and simply been parents, problemsolvers, caretakers and so on to eachother for a while. On this trip we learned to be lovers again and that was an amazing feel.

When I returned I had gotten a mail from a guy that would like Connect-webdesign to give him an offer for developing a website that could pay for half the trip I just took. I have given him a negotiatable offer, that could very well take some of my time from CWf for a couple of days, but I will be spread it out so it wont be in a row. However the pay from this project could very well be the thing that launces connect-webdesign further and also opens up for a further income that I have always said will be cut into portions where one of the portions is to further CWF. So please cross your fingers people. :D
The other two portions is to get new soft and hardware for the PC, and the third portion is to be put aside for rainy days and vacations (they might occur litterally at the same time.)

I looked over what people have read in the meanwhile while I was away and it was nice to see that we got a new Game hunter Dahood. Welcome on board.
And also Pater Alf has once more been working hard on getting more games added to the database and updating the existing versions of games on the database, and also validating games awating validation.
Others have been busy doing other stuff, and all in all then everyone has made me happy (mostly because the bar isn't all that thrashed as promised). (I blame Scythe being away on boardgame tournaments...)

I also just launched a new thing in here, that will help make the newsletters better and more usefull. So far they have been crap I admit!
Hopefully this will get us some more members too.

Glad to be back, and first 2 umbrelladrinks are on me.

And I was more away for board games this week (just got home from another one) - it's autumn vacation time after all, so all my friends in various schools have had time off, and I took time off from work myself. Which means that I haven't been in here much. Keeping the social network alive is hard when you often work into the night, and I took this time to renew some fading friendships.

And by the way, if anybody ever asks you if you want to play a board game called "Arkham Horror", think twice - it's incredibly fun, but it'll eat your time away!

As for having new gh I'm totally stunned.

I'm gonna validate ten games in a week to celebrate this.

More news like this, please. :D

Good luck with the website, Chroelle!

I haven't had the best of luck with site sales recently. Here's how things stand. Me and my Webdeveloper partner, Dave, use a set of utilities from the parent company he works with, MA Webcenters. But I can't use them to develop my own site, so I am on my own for that. My site, computersystemrebuild.com, is being rebuild itself on my laptop, and is about 80% complete. The old version will be gone in a month, as I am taking my dear sweet time on it. I only use my laptop, an old, OLD Pentium II @266MHz Armada 7800, on the trains and busses.

Sounds like you've got your business going Chroelle! Wish me luck on getting my store going, I should have it in time for Christmas. The landlord there is getting the place fixed up for me. As for right now, I am doing small batches of computers in my apartment again, I have four in my room right now, and am almost done with those.

Everyone have a round on my tab! TO PROSPERITY FOR ALL!

Old trains never die. They just sit in ruin and wait until the day they are taken in by a skilled craftsman and rebuilt to their former glory.

TO PROPERITY TO ALL! Cheers...

Well I haven't heard from the potentiel customer yet, but I dont think he has blown me off yet.

I just finished my hard period at work before I took my vacation-trip so I was ready to come back and do some of the jobs I have been putting off. The person who was going to follow the kids at school instead of me was going to start today, but she is pregnant and had some issues with her pregnancy, so a couple of weeks ago we found the replacment for her, and today she called in sick with pelvic-issues regarding her pregnancy... (She has my sympathy though it is some of the same issues Tanja had under her pregnancy).
This means I go once more into the breech... No time for me to catch up on my computerwork at work, and all projcts postponed is now further postponed. Until monday of week 8 hopefully. This is where a third person is supposed to take over the schoolassistant job I am doing, and she has been sick with stress-symptoms recently... I hope she wont go down too...

Well most of all this means that the promise of me adding games like nuts after this week is pulled back a bit. Maybe I can get some done after work, but nothing near the grandiouse scale I was hoping to work in now...

But cheers anyway. I am not that wasted, just a bit weighed down by the projects I was looking forward to digging into at work being postponed again...

Simply wanted to draw attention to the fact that some of our new advertising kicked in today, so we should be getting more visitors from now on. Lets see what happens...

Don´t expect to see too many constructive posts from me this week. I have to work night shift which means I go to bed at 7 am, have my breakfast at 3 pm and walk around like a zombie in my waking hours before I have to start to work again at 7:30 pm.

So no beer for me today, I'll take a cup of coffee!

And of course congrats to both Baldie and Nina who both propably wont check by here today to read their greets. :D

I am currently downloading the entire contents of this site, so I will have everything stored on my PC. It is always nice to have a complete backup of the entire thing.

Also I plan to get some validation done today, and of course also get the newsletter ready for submitting tomorrow... I think we are good to go on that one. I dont think we can get any pics in the newsletter so we will have to do with some fancy writing. Scythe? Pager?

And on that note: Very glad to see you are returning soon Pager. Hope things are going as you plan them.

And on a completely different note. We totally forgot about summer savings time or winter savings time or whatever it is called and got up at 6.50 instead of 7.50 to get Anna out of bed and keep her sleeping pattern going. So no extra hour of sleep for us...
I was wondering why it was so hard to open my eyes .

A bit early for rounds of drinks, so morning coffee and fresh squeesed orange juice on me.
