I once worked in an office (actually a lot of OG posting was done there) and it was so dirty it stunk like dirtiness. The first time I sat on the floor I had to get rid of my clothes I was wearing because they smelt like the carpet, it was nasty. I had bumped into the cleaning staff and they barely did anything, empty the garbage cans and that was it...terrible.

Oh BTW. I started my leave fom work yesterday, so I am officially off from work for the coming 8 weeks. And as you may or may not know Winter-een-mas is coming up so I am pretty sure I will do some gaming. Any games I should concentrate on validation-wise?

I recently moved all requests requiring only one vote to main gh forum, so suit yourself. As for personal recommendations, I recommend Marathon, but it has only one vote.

Problem is that most of those games already have a vote from me...
I remembered however that there was a game at some point that none of us could play as it required a HEAVY DUTY PC (and that is what I ahve with my new laptop...) so I will try to find out which one it was. It was from one of the developers that posted games themselves in here...
Oh and Post number 9000 from me - so it seems I lost the quest to post this in 2011.

Try "Lao's Quest". It's very good and I'm going to vote on it within the next days too, so we can get it from the list pretty soon. I would also recommend "Cardagain" and "Duel Toys 2".

Chinese new year is on Monday...and geographically you are a little closer to China than I am...so we'll split the difference and call it a success.
I never thought about it that way. And when I said tht I wanted to run half a marathon in 2010 I never specified that we were following the western calendar. Arabic calender might be more to my liking.

I paid for premium MegaUpload once upon a time. Long time ago though. Now, if the owners hadn't sent each other incriminating emails, would this have happened? After all, there probably isn't a file sharing service out there that isn't used to break copyright a couple million times.

I suspect it has more to do with the multi-millions of dollars they were making and their extravagant lifestyles that caused the law to come down on them so hard. If they had been more discreet about their earnings, a few incriminating E-mails probably wouldn't have mattered.

Considering this was a mutli-national effort, I'm not so sure. In any case, it'll make for an interesting trial.

I dont believe Rapidshare owners are beggars. I think, actually that e-mails and other written or spoken evidence played the crucial role. In other words, US judges have old-fashioned proofs that these guys break the law for profits. As simple as that. Rapidshare and other sites rely almost exclusively on pirated media, but their owners at least try to pretend they dont allow it. Time will tell how well they do, if at all. Besides, Rapidshare (treated in here as an example) doesnt have servers in US most likely what may be very important in nearby future.
I wonder though how is it possible that Pirate Bay is still alive, it hosts pirated goods, does it deliberately and has enormous traffic, but nothing happens for years (not counting some well-known incidents).
