The game cast you as a thief who had until midnight, IIRC, to crack a safe. It was kind of like an extremely early Quest game, but could be completed in something like 10 minutes. :)

And you remember right! It is "Montezuma´s Revenge"...

Btw: There´s a nice remake of this game. I think I will open a thread about it in the Freeware-Forum.

And while we're on the subject of games I used to play on my Atari that also happened to get ported to/from the c64...

Loved this one. Until my tapedeck stopped reading it :/
