Snooker is strangely appealing. When i happen upon snooker in tv i've sometimes just dazed away and watched it for an hour or so. It's the same thing with cycling now i think about it.

Snow! It's May, for whatever's-up-there sake!

Not here in Cracow, but weather news say that it snows in Lower Silesia and temperature in towns near Sudetes fell to 2 degrees. Actually a little bit of snow would be at least something interesting, because the weather in here is terrible recently - winds, rains and cold, and it's been like this circa 3 weeks already.

Luckily it didn't reach us...

Saw a news-headline today in one of Denmarks most prominent newspapers "Børsen" (The Stockmarket) - it shows how much a single typo can change the understanding and message sent. "Spirits greatly lifted in US by death of Obama". Here I was thinking that Obama was more popular than ever, due to the death of Osama... Hm... I wonder how quickly they changed that headline... (Luckily for them it was online and not in their printed issue.)

Actually I was commenting the news on Onet yesterday and made similar typo. I believe it is one of the most common typos in modern internet, but anyway the similarity of both guys names is open to conspiracy theories and Freudian analysis.

On the contrary, I run at evenings, so my mind is cool and fresh.

I cant wait for my bike to be operational. It needs an overhaul, but the service station I want to repair it is incredibly busy, so I got the fixed date for 16th May. On the other hand Im also a bit anxious, because bike paths (90% of my road to work is bike path) are dangerous places nowadays, for both pedestrians and other bikers. People ride like crazy.

I am in a similar place to Scythe. I work from early mornings to late afternoons for the next couple of months, and when I get home I have Molly, Anna and Tanja needing my attention... This means very little time to sit down and do anything, and most of the time I find the time to sit by the PC I visit in here, and read up - enjoying responses and activity, but having nothing to contribute myself - only a blank mind, tired from yet another hard days work... Oh and Molly is keeping me up at nights, so I am really in a sort of pause-mode most of my freetime...

I'm in the same boat. I'm currently the single parent to a very active year-old dog, busy as hell at work now that the financial meltdown is behind and it's time to grow again and on top of that I'm apparently starting up a sauna-related business...

Oh well. It's all fun so I'm not complaining.

Zyx is joining mafia. In movies, mobsters often do business in saunas.

I absolutely love that show. Certainly one among the best that were ever made for TV. Please tell me how you liked the final episode when you saw it. There are many people who don't like it and probably as many who think it's a masterpiece. When I first saw it, I was irritated, but the more I thought about it, the more I saw that it was probably the only possible end that this series could have.

I saw the first episode and that was it, by the time I reminded myself that I should watch it, it was too far into it, I just gave up. Sort of like Mad Men, I always wanted to watch that show in the first season but never got around to doing so.

I can sympathize with Zyx regarding the dog, my wife and I rescued a Fox Terrier from the humane society in October and he is far more energetic than the two of us. We have him on a routine of three 40 minute walks a day.

I am finding it hard to do anything lately, I work 8 hours a day, my job is about a 3 hour round trip in the car. I only really have 3 or 4 hours after work to eat, walk the pooch, spend time with the wife then off to bed. I would be a much happier person if I could cut out that car ride...but I am working on that one. I haven't turned on my PC in a while, I am using my work laptop right now, not as much freedom as my own desktop, but it allows me to scan the site and go to wikipedia.

Good news though, my ultimate frisbee league starts tomorrow! I am super psyched about getting active again.

I get angry when people talk about show endings. :D

I dont think Sopranos are GREAT, construction-wise it's just an ordinary tv show with all their faults - abrupt plot changes, sudden disappearances, weird romantic relationships between all available characters and all this stuff which usually destroys realism. On the other hand it is superior to majority of tv productions in visuals, actors' performances and because of underlying meanings which set it apart from casual amusement shows. It works best as a morality tale, it asks questions and doesnt give easy answers.
