The cool thing about finding errors is that you learn from them.

I just a mail today from someone I contacted yesterday, and well, I am pretty excited.
I wrote a Danish Computer-magazine yesterday about maybe adding a freeware games section to their mag, and telling them that I would happily help them with writing and researching if they hired me freelance.
Well - They couldn't decide what to do just yet, but the editor was VERY interested in my idea, and they were doing some redesigning of the magazine this spring, where thy would remove some sections and add onto others, and the section they were most focused on developing more was their: "Good and Free" section, which focuses on Freeware programs. And the editor of course quickly saw the chance of adding something about games to that section. He would contact me back when they have had their meeting.
What this also means is that shoudl I get the job then I will of course do more investigative work in here, as it will benefit me in more than one aspect. Beers on me!

Well I need them to hire me first, but I will of course use every opportunity to do some advertising for CWF.

Weve got that sort of cold coming wednesday.
This night/morning it is supposed to be around -10 to -15, but I am staying inside until 10, where it will hopefully get a little warmer.
Oh and I investigated a little yesterday - The magazine I talked to has 40.000 copies every 3 weeks in Denmark, and 50.000 in Scandinavia.

Damned! Around christmas my boss gave me a Sony PSP which was found in our boarding school about a year ago with no pupil who claimed it. Today I bought my first game (FIFA 08 ) and was looking forward to start playing and now I found out that there is a scratch on the UMD. I still can play the mini-games, but can't start a real football match. And I can't even bring the game back, because I bought in in a second hand store which doesn't give guarantee...

Well, they did sell you a defective product to begin with so you should be able to return it. But, then again, I've no idea how the consumer rights go in Germany, but that's how it would work around here.Pater Alf wrote:Damned! Hate it when things go sour like that PA.... Hope you find a solution to it. I know absolutely nada about PSP's.
On a more merry note - Me and the wifey are leaving on a romantic weekend tomorrow morning (away till sunday, and watching Avatar 3d tomorrow), so I am looking forward to my last day at work where I am making a web-magazine with the kids from the second grades along with my other computer-freak co-worker. I have been doing that all week and it's definently something I am doing again.

Normally you are right. But it's a bit hard to proove that the game was damaged when I bought it. And it's that crappy kind of second hand store that probably doesn't care to much about consumer rights (well knowing that people won't go to court for a few euros). But I will try to give it back tomorrow anyway. And who kows: Maybe I'm totally wrong about the store and they will take it back without any problems...Zyx wrote:Well, they did sell you a defective product to begin with so you should be able to return it. Sometimes ones distrust in the system is horribly proven wrong. Isn't that just great.
Me and the wifey are back and had a GREAT trip. As soon as we got there we went to see Avatar 3D which was not a disappointment, and when we got back to the room after dining in a nearby restaurant a snowblizzard hit the city, and the next morning everything was covered in white prettyness. We could walk everywhere we needed to go more or less, so it was no trouble for us. But with degrees of 8 below we did get some lovely rosy cheeks. We had to drive home through snowy roads today though and that was no blast. But we got home safe after 2½ hours of tense driving. But the weekend was worth both the drive and the money spend!!!

I won't register as well. But it seems that some of the old members did and even some of the CWF members are active there (eMTe, Railo).
I'm still a bit sad that OG went down this way. It was a great place some years ago. But on the other side CWF won't exist if we hadn't feared that OG would die...
Thank you for the drink, Tank!
